Rains County Leader, August 20, 1970 Grover and Mary Stuart standing in front of a tree that was planted during World War I at the T.N. Tackett place where they reside. Mr. and Mrs. Stuart are the children of pioneer citizens of Rains County. Mrs. Stuart, the daughter of Dr. Duffey, and her mother, the former Ada Cain...and Grover, the son of Steve and Janie Forbes Stuart. His father was the first county surveyor and her parents donated the land where the Forbis Cemetery is now located. The stuarts are the parents of Joe Pete Stuart, grandchildren, Frances Ellen and Jo.
