Mrs. Grace Collier, 89, of the Hamilton Grove retirement home, New Carlisle, died at 1:15 AM today in the home after an illness of the several months. She was born on January 18, 1891, in South Bend, and had lived here all her life. The Forest G. Hay funeral home is in charge of arrangements.

Collier -- Services for Mrs. Grace Collier, 89 Collier of the Hamilton Grove retirement home, New Carlisle, who died Monday in the home after an illness of several months, will be at 2 PM Wednesday in the Forest G. Hay Funeral Home, 1201 South Michigan. Rev. Robert Carman of the Hamilton Grove retirement home will officiate. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM today in the funeral home. She was born on January 18, 1891, in South Bend, and had lived here all her life. In 1912, in South Bend, she married James V. Collier, who died on July 30, 1946. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Carita Schoof of Union Mills and Mrs. Margaret Sugonis of South Bend; a son, James A. of Memphis, Tennessee; nine grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Lillian Hintz and Mrs. Root Baer, both of South Bend. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star of La Porte.
