    GRACE PARKER

AKRON -- Grace Matilda (Kaylor) Collins Parker, 65, of Akron, died Thursday, July 9, 2009, after a short illness. She was born in Detroit, Mich., on Nov. 5, 1943, to Perry and Helen (Platt) Kaylor and married David Parker in 1979. He survives. Also surviving are children, Wolf (Jennifer Collins) of Ann Arbor, Mich., and Kevin Collins of Florence, Mass.; siblings, Elsie Kaylor of Aurora, Colo., Frank (Nancy) Kaylor of Wooster and Marguerite (Kelly) Meckley of Shreve; also grandchildren, in-laws, nieces, nephews and dear friends. A brother, David Christopher Kaylor, died previously. Grace was an active member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church on West Market Street in Akron and volunteered there often. She graduated from Killbuck High School with the Class of 1961, and had lived most of her life in Akron. She was the owner of "Grace's Place", where she taught many people the arts of sewing, knitting and quilting. Many people came to her home to learn these skills and she made everyone feel welcome. Her arrangements were handled by Billow Funeral Home in Fairlawn.
