Grace Harradine was baptised on 3rd July 1674 at Guilden Morden in Cambridgeshire, daughter of William Harradine and his wife Margaret. The family was sometimes known as Bartle, with some records recording the family as "Bartle alias Harradine" or similar, although Grace's baptism and marriage records were both just under the name Harradine.

On 7th February 1697, aged 22, Grace married Robert Ablet at Guilden Morden.

After their marriage, Grace and Robert settled at Abington Pigotts, a couple of miles east of Guilden Morden. They went on to have five children baptised at Abington Pigotts between 1698 and 1712, although one son died in 1704 just two days after being baptised.

Back in Guilden Morden, Grace's father died in February 1710. Her mother died a couple of years later in September 1712.

Robert died in February 1721. They had been married for 24 years.

Grace survived Robert by almost ten years. She died aged 56, and was buried at Abington Pigotts on 16th February 1731. It seems likely that there was an illness in the family, as her son Robert (who was described as a higgler) died a few days later, aged 28.

Baptisms / 1674 / July 3 HARRADINE Grace daughter of William

This baptism has been linked to the Grace Haradine who married Robert Ablet on the basis that it is in the same parish in which she married and at a plausible time. No other Grace Harradine (or variants, including any Bartle variants as the family was often called "Bartle alias Harradine") has been found at Guilden Morden, suggesting that the Grace baptised in 1674 did not die young or marry someone else.
