    Her Surname was probably not Alcock (quote): "I have concluded we do not have any proof that Grace Carwithy/Carwithen's maiden name was Alcock. That arose from a misunderstanding about George Alcock's will. He referred to a debt he owed 'brother Carwithy', but was using the term 'brother' in the Puritan practice of talking about church members as 'brother and sister'. Just above that remard, in the will, he uses the same wording for two other church members. At this point, I am concluding that the Alcock name for Grace is an error. ... But, at this point, regarding the Carwithy/Carwithen research, Alcock and Hooker are not involved."
