There seems to be two completely separate OSTERMEIER families in Hancock County, which seem to be from the former principality of Schaumburg-Lippe, or from Prussia. One of these "trees" connects to the Busking family from Cammer, through GOTTLIEB's daughter, Maria Eleanora.

There is another Ostermeier (or Ostermeyer) family with roots to Schaumburg-Lippe in Indianapolis. Christian Busking's brother-in-law Charles (Karl) Prange had a "history" with them. This other Ostermeyer family has a plot of burials adjacent to a group of Pranges, in Concordia Cemetery. Unfortunately, we have not linked these Pranges to Charles' family, who are also buried in Concordia Cemetery. Most of the Busking families (in 4 different plots) are buried near these Ostermeyers.

There is yet another Ostermeyer family in the northern part of Indianapolis, which seem to be unconnected (for now!).

In a Schaumburg German historical archives, is the name of a emigrant to America, Carl Friedrich Christian, who is from FRILLE, and apparently born in circa 1802. Seems like he migrated in 1841. Could he have gone to Hancock County, Indiana?

A LOT OF RESEARCH NEEDS TO BE DONE!
