His estate inventory is recorded at the Greenbrier Court House, Lewisburg, West Virginia. It is not known when Cutlip, Jr.'s first wife, Barbara, died. There is evidence that they left Rockingham County and lived for a time in Halifax County, Virginia where their daughter, Margaret was born. He did arrive in Greenbrier County by 1804, where he married his second wife and lived for the remainder of his days. He signed this marriage license as "Cutlip Airy, Jr.". Two land grants are recorded for Godliff Erie in 1796 for a total of 165 acres on Sinking Creek in Greenbrier County adjacent to Mr. "Hjughart". The family lived on Muddy Creek, West of Lewisburg and he appeared on the 1810 and 1820 Greenbrier, Virginia Census at that location. The land was a part of a Patent originally issued to John Kilpatrick and Charles Harrow for 1250 acres. Cutlip owned 605 acres which he purchased by deed from Charles Harrow and John Moore. In 1813 Cutlip sold 200 acres to George Huggart which may have been the brother of his wife. (Deed Bk. 3). His estate settlement is recorded in the Greenbrier Court House, Lewisburg, West Virginia.
