Watertown Daily Times, 24 Mar 2011: GOLDEN A. McCHESNEY Orwell-- Golden A. McChesney, age 100, resident of Orwell, passed away Wednesday at Seneca Hill Manor, Oswego. Golden was born May 26, 1910 in Port Ontario, NY. She resided in Orwell from 1928 until 1995, when she moved to Pulaski. She graduated from Pulaski High School in 1927. Golden married Donald H. McChesney on August 22, 1928, he died March 6, 1995. She attended Orwell Union Church and volunteered at the Orwell Public Library. Golden was a member of the Pulaski Senior Citizens, the Nature Conservancy, Greenpeace, and the Sierra Club. She loved fishing. Surviving, one son, Donald Joseph (Janet) McChesney of Lacona, one daughter, Alice Johnson of Frost Proof, FL, six grandchildren... Funeral Services will be held... Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with a spring burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
