From "Descendants of Ithamar Shaw", by Wm. D. Clutton -15 May 2001: p. 17 - 4.Gilbert Shaw - third child of Ithamar and his second wife Mary, was bo rn in 1806 on the farm at lot 8,conc.7,Glanford. His brother Thomas so ld to him 50 acres of his father's farm, south part lot 8, conc.7 on Oct.2 5,1834. He farmed there until his death June 8,1861 from being kicked in t he stomach by a horse. He was buried in the family plot on the farm.
