He was living in Glanford tp. when he marri ed in 1833; was in Walpole tp. , Haldimand Co. in 1838 when his son Consi der was born, then by June 21,1851 he had obtained the deed from The Cro wn to 100 acres at south half lot 26, conc.3, North Norwich tp., Oxford c o. He died without a will probably cl857 as an instrument dated Mar.16,18 58 shows Magdalene Shaw as widow and administratrix of the late Ithamer Sh aw. He married Magdalene Depew on Mar.12,1833 in Glanford tp. She was born Ju ne 13,1813 in Barton tp , daughter of Charles C. Depew and Elizabeth Ja ne Springer (dau of Richard Springer of Barton tp. and his wife Sarah Boyc e). After leaving the farm at lot 26,conc 3, North Norwich tp, she was li ving in the village of Otterville in 1874, perhaps with her daughter Eliza beth, and by the 1881 census she is living with her son Ithamer in Monmou th tp., Haliburton, then by the time she died Apr 17,1884 she was livi ng in Burford tp ,Brant Co.
