Gertrude Hamstra, age 58 of 815 Glenning St., Lynden, passed away Wednesday, August 25, (1971) in a local hospital. She was a member of the Second Christian Reformed Church and had lived in the Whatcom County area for over 50 years. She is survived by her husband, Ben; 1 son, Kenneth of Lynden; a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Gayle) DeGroot of Everson; three sisters, Mrs. Albert Meenk, Mrs. Ray DeVries, both of Lynden and Mrs. Jack Stuckey of Seattle; 9 grandchildren; stepmother, Mrs. Herman
Bouwkamp of Michigan. Services will be conducted Saturday, August 28 at 11 a.m. in the Second Christian Reformed Church with the Rev. Jerome Batts officiating. Burial in Monumenta Cemetery under the direction of the Gillies Funeral Home.
