   At the 18 October 1674 Middlesex County Court, a guardianship was taken on "the distracted and deplorable estate of Gershom Hill," at the request of his father and brother-in-law Waite, who stated that he was incompetent "by reason of a lunaticke distemper on his body" Pulsifer 3:109. Gershom was still living when his father made a bequest to him in his 1687 will.
