Services for Gerald O. Ritter, 68, of Route 1, Angola, were conducted at2 PM Wednesday, November 22, in the Weicht funeral home, Angola. Dr. J.Glenn Radcliffe officiated at the rites. Burial followed in Mount ZionCemetery near Golden Lake. The Loyal Order of Moose held a memorialservice at the funeral home at 7:30 PM Tuesday. Ridder died Mondayafternoon, November 20, while working at Golden Lake. He was born in December 23, 1909, in Steuben County, the son of Gary andByrde (Erwin) the Ritter. The Ritter was a member of the Loyal Order ofMoose, Angola, and was a former member of the Steuben County Farm BureauCo-operative, and the State and County Highway Departments, and City ofAngola. Surviving are his wife, the former Pauline English; three sons,Lester, Max, and Gerald Ritter, Jr., all of Angola; one daughter,Shirley Hamilton, of Coldwater, Michigan; three stepsons, DeVon Arnold,of Hamilton; Clyde Lonsbury, of Huntertown, and Sam Lonsbury, ofTiffin;; one stepdaughter LaVon Wineland, of Quincy, Michigan; a numberof grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Bohn and Mrs. VirginiaBashore, both of Angola."
