Gerald Lestina Dies Suddenly

Gerald Benjamin Lestina, 44, passed away suddenly at his home in Giard Township, McGregor, Sat., Mar. 27.

He was born Jan. 26, 1921, at McGregor, the son of Matilda Holly and Ben Lestina. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Patrick's Church, Monona.

Mr. Lestina lived his entire life on the Lestina farm which has been the property of three generations in the Lestina family.

He was educated in the school at Beulah Falls in Giard Township. On May 3, 1944, he was married to Lorraine Osmundson. To this union two children were born. Both are at home.

Preceding him in death were his mother and father. He is survived by his wife Lorraine, son Jerry Lee, daughter Cheryl Ann, sister Mrs. William (Jean) Gentz, and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Wed., Mar. 31 at 9:30 in St. Patrick's Church in Monona. Burial was in the church cemetery with Father Wm. J. Menster officiating.

Pallbearers were Giles Blietz, Simon Moses, Gerald Mielke, Reynold Kann, Ben Marovets, Ralph Welch, H. Leslie Leas and Lloyd Bacon.
