"The youngest son of Caleb. Born in Michigan and came to Lakeport as a young man. He worked on his brother's farm in Scott Valley and later at a sawmill for his brother James (Zimri). Went to work as a butter maker at a creamery and caught a cold. Died at an age of 32 with two young children and another one on the way, leaving his wife penniless." S1
