George H. Swift, who was born about 70 years ago, died Wednesday night in his home at Canton, where he will be buried Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Death came instantly. He was married 34 years ago to Mary Crumrine Gamble, who survives with two sons, George and Charles, of Canton.
Surviving brothers and sisters are, Charles J., of Carrollton and John C. of Washington, D. C.; Miss Mame Swift, of Carrollton, and Mrs. Emma Rumpf, of Youngstown. Mr. Swift was a conductor on the old C. C. & S. for 25 years. He held an appointment under the McKinley administration. Mr. Swift had been a resident of Canton since his marriage.
