    Deposition of John Martin to establish land of Isaac Ruddell, deposeth:
    he was employed to locate land known as Martin's Cabbins for Reuben Searcy, and he with George Ruddell marked boundary between Ruddell and Searcy.
    James Ruddell deposeth: he was with surveyors when land of George Ruddell was surveyed.

    Deposition of James Ruddell, aged between 46 and 47 yrs., to establish Isaac Ruddell's preemption, states: in yr. 1783 a certain Thomas Allen, surveyor for Fayette Co., with Joseph Love and George Ruddell, came to make entry of Isaac Ruddell's settlement on Flat Run.
