Tailor, aged 23, born at Lopham, Norfolk. 1871 - Living in West Church Street, Kenninghall, with second wife Emily, two children and an apprentice. His brother Arthur ROLFE and visitor Clement CHAMBERLAIN are recorded with them. Tailor and draper, aged 32, born at North Lopham, Norfolk. 1881 - With wife, five children and others at the White Horse Inn, Market Place, Kenninghall. Tailor and draper. 1889 - After the death of Emily, George married Mary BECK, a widow. 1891 - With third wife Mary Ann and living in the Street, Knapton with five ROLFE children and wife's youngest daughter Beatrice, recorded as "Boarder". One domestic servant. Grocer & Draper (Master), self employed, aged 52, born at North Lopham, Norfolk. George made suits for the palace, working from Kenninghall and delivering to Quidenham by pony and trap. |
