One of founders of Camanche iA.


In 1817, moved to Western NY, first in Monroe, then in Niagara. Surgeon in War of 1812. Also surveyor and Engineer. In 1836, moved to Iowa, on the banks of the Mississippi R., where he laid-out and founded the town of Camanche.
