Newman's "education in the study of medicine", which appears to fit this George S. Newman who is clearly mentioned in records and Find-a-Grave as a medical doctor. In addition, George S. Newman named one of his sons Walter, likely after his grandfather, Walter Newman. Additional research may be needed.
