Was living in Rock Island in 1894. He served with the 83rd Illinois in the Civil War. This is a quote from "The 83rd Illinoisan". Vol I, No. 4, dated 7 Apr 1865, " We are in receipt of a lively little sheet published at Clarksville, Tenn. by Lem Lusk, Geo. L . Mitchell and Frank Stanley. The first two went from this office, and are good boys and good printers. They deserve a liberal support from the boys of the 83rd." (Monmouth Review)
