George Austin Maretta (sic) age 14 is found in the 1880 census in the household of his grandfather, Edmond Rhoads along with his sister Permelia. Jane Rhoads age 30 is listed as a married daughter but with her maiden. She is probably the mother of these 2 children. their father is absent but is said to be born in MO. I have proposed that his name was Thomas Austin Marietta and that he was the grand son of one of three brothers, John, Joseph and George Marietta found in Salt Lick Twp, Fayette Co., PA in the 1810 census.
