    George Irish, youngest son of Benjamin and Martha Irish, was born in Newport, Oct. 1st, 1786. He was baptized and received into the membership of the 1st Seventh-day Baptist Church of Hopkinton, April 19th, 1806. He died April 19, 1869 - the sixty-third anniversary of his baptism - relying on the faithfulness of a covenent-keeping Saviour for the ultimate realization of his long cherished hope, aged 82 years, 6 months, and 19 days. “The remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.”
