Per the booklet by Wm.A.Houser in 1936 - p.4 - George Mason Houser, who was son of Abraham & Lucinda (Younger)Houser, was born Feb 28, 1849 in Jefferson County, KY, near Louisville, & died Jun 10, 1905 near Louisville, KY. He is the father of the writer of this genealogy, Wm.A. Houser. He married to Mary Elizabeth Cain. She is the daughter of William Cain, of Atlanta, GA & Rebecca Delilah Brazil. William Cain was killed in battle of Gettysburg, a confederate soldier, of the 20th GA Inf. William & Rebecca Cain had 6 ch- James A. , Ben, William, Joe, Sarah & Mary Elizabeth. Mary Elizabeth died at the home of her daughter, Linnie Bangerth on Nov 4th , 1919. She & George Mason are both buried in Eastern Cemetery. They had 5 ch; 3 surviving - 1)Cora, died in infancy. 2)Richard Mason b.Jan 12, 1875, m.Sarah B.Harden, 6 ch: Richard E. Linnie, Ruth, Kenneth, Alberta & Alethia. 3) William Abraham, b.Feb 28, 1877 m.Lula F.Carter, had 3 ch, Ruby, William George & Ethel. 4)Linnie Grace b.Feb 20, 1879, m1 Elias Hardin, no suriving ch, m2 Henry Bangerth, no children. 5) Mary died at 6yrs old NOTE- I had to do some editing as things got out of order & became confusing.. the info is all there, I just rearranged it.
