    George Lafayette "Lafe" Hobson, 79, for many years an Allen County farmer died Thursday afternoon at 12:15 o'clock at his home on East State Street Extended. Born in Blackford County in 1852, a son of the late Jose K. and Catherine Gochenauer Hobson, Mr. Hobson came to Allen County at an early age and had since resided here. He was married to Mahala Anna Mills in 1882. She died in 1892. He was preceded in death also by daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Edith) Carpenter, and Mary G. Hobson. Surviving are two sons, William A. and Eli Hobson, both of Fort Wayne, and five grandchildren.
