RESIDENCE: By 1780s was in Shepherdstown, Berkeley (now Jefferson) WV, 1797-1799 to Ross County, OH, built log cabin (3rd in Chillicothe) at Second and Mulberry Streets. 1815 to Springfield Twp.

From the Acts of the First Session of the General Assembly (OH) 1803 in Chillicothe: "To be paid from the contingent fund: to George Haines, for a set of fire-irons for the use of the senate, two dollars and eighty-three cents."

BURIAL: Hopetown Cemetery, age 83 at death. First was buried in First Presbyterian Cemetery, later "removed to country".
