According to Jacquelyn Cannon: George donated 50 acres of land for the Lawrenceville Methodist campground.

On the 1850 Census Sugar Hill, Gwinnett Co., Georgia; there is a female child, Julian, age 6, listed with George and Sarah. I (Janie) don't know if this is a child of their's or a grandchild, as George is 68 and Sarah is 50. She is not listed with them on the 1860 census.

On his son George's 1880 census, the son says his father was born in Tennessee.
