It is quite an amusing and interesting sight to look in upon Mr. George L. Britton's velocipede school, in Bechtel Hall. The velocipede mania has now full possession of our young men, and quite a large number of them are already proficient riders, and they will soon appear upon the streets. Mr. Britton has half a dozen velocipedes, and they are all kept busy every hour in the day by aspiring pupils. The exercise is said by those who have tried it, to be of the most exhilerating and pleasant kind. The process of learning, however, is characterized by several rather unpleasant features to nervous people, such as running into and upsetting each other while under full headway, running full head into the wall, and similar unpleasant mishaps. These little accidents are constantly occurring in the school and the ludicrous figures cut by the annoyed pupils on these occasions give rise to constant shouts of laughter, and sarcastic advice from the spectators.

George L. Britton, the candidate for Coroner in this district, it is confessed by all who know him, has made one of the best coronors we ever had. Mr. Britton was Justice of the Peace for many years, and is thoroughly familiar with the duties of a coroner. Better still, he is zealous and faithful in discharging them. Give a good public servant a handsome vote.

George L. Britton has made one of the best Coroners we ever had. He has only been in office one year, and it is customary to elect Coroners for the same length of time as Sheriffs. Let us give him at least another year. Not only this, but roll up for him a rousing majortiy, showing that we appreciate good public officers.

A desperate effort is being made to defeat George L. Britton, Esq, for Coroner. Mr. Britton has made one of the best Coroners this county ever had, and we trust that no Republican will vote against him. The position is an important one, and should be filled by a capable man.

George L. Britton, a former resident of this city, and now of Camden, paid a visit here to his old friends yesterday. "The Squire," as he is called, is one of the best story tellers in New Jersey. He was one of the coroners of this county some years ago, and was also a Police Justice of Trenton. George, away back in the seventies, belonged to a guatette of vocalists of which Al Reed, now a Justice of the Supreme Court, and George A. Bennett, who kept a cigar store on Warren street, whch was afterwards managed by the late Billy Speeler, were members. The quartette were very popular, and used to serenade their friends many times throughout the city. Judge Reed's favorite piece was "Locksley Hall."
