George Anderson was a crofter, subtenant farmer in West Waterlair. That was the name of the farm. West Waterlair was located in the village/town of Garvock. He was a member of the Church of Scotland in the Parish of Garvock. He was nearly 75 when he died and is buried in Garvock Cemetery along side his wife, Catharine Scott.
