Facts and Events
George Schlegel was a proud and happy man with an easygoing disposition. His profession was framing confirmation certificates. He would work in the morning, going around to various families collecting their records, and then framing them. Then he would have lunch and take a little snooze. After that, he would take his grandchildren with him to the movies for a Matinee. His granddaughter Klara said that he would crack his peanuts open while he was watching the movie and the moviegoers would get mad. He was friendly and funny and well liked by the community. He would tip his hat at everyone he met to say hello, and his grandchildren liked to do the same thing, mimicking him and laughing. The Schlegel Family was reared Catholic. References
