Georg Heinrich LANNERT Henry was born on 1 Jan 1812 in Gadernheim, Odenwald, Hessen, Germany. The second son of Johannes LANNERT and Christina Elisabetha REYMUND. Between 1842 and 1870 he was a master gunsmith. He did not like being a blacksmith and wanted to be a gunsmith. He taught himself the trade while with his brother, Johann Adam Lannert, in Erzbach.

He immigrated on 10 Jul 1848 to New York, US. He returned to Germany to visit family in Aug-Oct 1871 and sailed back with his nephew George H. Lannert aboard the SS Holsatia from Hamburg, Germany and returned to Cleveland, Ohio in Nov 1871. Nephew George stayed in Cleveland for a few years before settling in Rawson, OH.

Between 1849 and 1893 he was a buyer and seller of Real Estate in Ohio, US. He lived 1654 Willson Ave in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co, OH, US between 1871 and 1895. He lived 31 1/2 Prospect St in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co, OH, US in 1880. He died on 2 Apr 1895 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co, OH, US. "old age" on his wife's 74th birthday.
