Gaylord R Trautman Sr


Gaylord R Trautman Sr, 74, 135 Coe St., Tiffin, died at 6:15 a.m. Wednesda y, July 30, 2003, at his residence.

He was born April 29, 1929, in Upper Sandusky, to the late Otto and Vio la (Hoerr) Troutman. His wife, Shirley (Kinstle Widhalm) Trautman, wh om he married July 7, 1984, in Tiffin, survives. Other survivors include: two sons, Gaylord "Ray" Trautman Jr of Risings un and Jeffrey Trautman of Tiffin; a daughter, Deborah Well of Oak Harbo r; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Also preceding him in death were two brothers, Lloyd Troutman and Willis T rautman; and a sister, Dorothy Quail.

Mr. Trautman retired in 1994 after 39 years at Whirlpool Corp. in Clyd e. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Tiffin and the Disabled Am erican Veterans. He served in the U.S Air Force and National Guard and rec eived the National Defense Service Ribbon. He, with his wife, made and so ld ornate crosses at fairs and festivals.

A funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003, in St. Mary Cath olic Church, with the Rev. David M Ross officiating. The rosary will be re cited in the church 15 minutes prior to the Mass. Burial will be in St. Ma ry's Cemetery, Tiffin, with military rites conducted by the United Vetera ns Council.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. today, Aug. 1, at Hannay-Traunero Funeral Hom e, 214 S Monroe St., Tiffin OH 44883; (419) 447-3113. A wake service wi ll be at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home.
