Gary Wayne Brooks, 55, of Horton, KS., formerly of Perry, died Sunday, October 18, 2009 at the Tri-County Manor in Horton. Gary was born November 6, 1953 at Blairstown, MO., the son of Alva E. and Helen L. Bolz Brooks.
He had lived in Horton two years after moving from Perry. Gary worked as a Custodian at the Golden Eagle Casino and had formerly worked at Presbyterian Manor in Lawrence. Growing up in Perry, he attended Perry rural High School.
He is survived by one Son, Gary D. Brooks, two Daughters, Chris Allen, and Angel Casto, all of Topeka, his Mother Helen L. Brooks, Grantville, one Brother, Everett Brooks, Meriden, three Sisters, Darlene Fidler, Horton, Sharon Leffler, Branson, MO., Barbara Tyler, Grantville, and 12 Grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM, Thursday at Barnett-Chapel Oaks Meriden Chapel.
Burial will be at Meriden Cemetery.
