  3. In 1836, Davie county was formed completely from Rowan County, therefore, this strongly suggests that, while he was living in "Rowan County" during his lifetime, today, that same area would have Galent (based on headstone placement) buried in Davie County. Whitaker's Meeting House Church Cemetery is located within 2 miles of Smith Grove, which is also in Davie county currently. It is possible that the name of the cemetery was, at one time, Whitaker Methodist Episcopal Church Cemetery, but I cannot find a reference for that particular name at present. The cemetery name has been retained, but the cemetery link has changed to the cemetery where their headstones have been found.--Khaentlahn
