- ↑ This cemetery is located 8 1/4 miles south of Mason City, Custer County, Nebraska and is accessible from the road. From Nebraska Highway 2, turn south into Mason City and follow this same road south. The road is oiled about half of the way and then becomes gravel. This road takes you directly to the cemetery. This cemetery has an arched gateway leading into it. Across the top of the arch are the words "Basin Lutheran Cemetery". A gate- under the arch - leads into the cemetery. Right inside the gate is a large granite stone with the following inscription on the front: Former Site Of Evangelical Zion Lutheran Church 1901 - 1989
