Jacob sold Frederick's personal property and fromthe sale he gave Frederick's widow $159.55, on October 5, 1845; $1.00 tothe appraiser; $4.75 to David Clark for a debt owed him from Mar 13,1843; $1.00 to Benjamin Bowers for one day service as "cryer". Minorchildren that were listed: Jacob, Frederick, Daniel, Elizabeth, Mary,Catherine and Peter
  9. ↑ "The mother of our subject (Josiah Lutz) was born in Lancaster County,Pennsylvania, and she likewise was twice married, her first husbandhaving been Frederick Herbster, to whom she bore 8 children, of home thesix surviving are as follows: John, Jacob, Peter, Mary, Elizabeth andCatherine. The honored father (Abraham Lutz) of the subject died in theyear 1854, and his widow survived him by nearly a score of years,entering into eternal rest in 1871."
