Will Transcript
- Fredrick Bumgarner will
- In the name of God amen I Frederick Bumgarner make this my last will and testament as follows to wit: Imprimus I give to my son George in fee simple fifteen acres of land to be taken from that part of my land which adjoins adjoins (sic) the last of land of my said Son George on which he now lives also I give to my said Son George a cow and calf.
- Item I give to my Son Joel in fee simple the piece of land on which I live (consisting about one hundred and forty ???? acres) except the fifteen acres hereon above given to my Son George. I also give to my Son Joel the mare he bought and her increase also a cow and calf a bedstead furniture and a writing desk.
- Item I give to my Daughter Nancy my Negro Woman Maud Amy and also I give to my said Daughter Nancy three hundred dollars and two Beds and their furniture.
- Item I give to my Daughter Polly my Negro boy Harry the son of Misola and also I give to my said Daughter Polly four hundred dollars and two Beds and their furniture.
- Item I give to my Daughter Patsy my Negro woman Misola and also two beds and their furniture
- Item I give all the remainder of my Estate or possessions not herein before given both real and personal to my said Daughters Nancy Polly and Patsy to be equally divided between them
- And I appoint my sons George and Joel Bumgarner and my Son in law Eli Glasscock to be Executors of this my last Will and Testament to which I hereunto affix my hand and seal this 26th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Seventeen.

- Va Court ???? and held for Culpeper County this 17th day of March 1817
- This last Will and Testament of Frederick Bumgarner dec’d was exhibited to the court and proved by Thomas Thornhill one of the Witnesses thereto and ordered to be Certified and a Court held for said County the 16th day of June 1823. This said last Will & Testament was again exhibited to the Court officially proved by the Oath of Witnesses William Yates another Witness thereto and ordered to be Recorded.
