Anderson Dear Sirs,I am a collector of Scottish and British militaria and have recently acquired a very interesting Pattern 1831 basket hilted broad sword. What sets this sword apart is that the blade is engraved with the name "F.K. Anderson 4th Black Watch". I have been able to find out that the owner of the sword was Lieutenant Frederick Kinloch Anderson, son of William Joseph and Mary Anderson of Edinburgh, and that he was killed on 25th September, 1915.
