Was he the FREDERICK (surname spelled: WASSEM) who was a member (1887) at St. Jacob's Church in Jefferson Township? Also a German Reformed congregation.

He is not listed in the St. Jacob's Cemetery Index, but a Sarah Wasem is; who was the daughter of "F. & E.", born 1872, died 1888.

The St. Jacob's Church also has the familiar surnames of Maurer, Pratorius, Mattern, Lorenz, Lanzer, Stephan, and Grimm, associated with it. It was a small congregation, founded in 1856. It no longer exists, although the church building and cemetery are still there (circa 1967).
