(Cora) age 19 born November 1880, Maude D. age 17 born September 1882 and Henry R. age 10 born May 1890, all were born in Ohio.

Franklin Pierce Slates, 82, of Loudon Township, died Thursday, January 31, at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Cora Nupp, at Kilgore. Mr. Slates was a life-long resident of Loudon Township and a member of the Kilgore Lutheran Church.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Nupp and Mrs. Maud Kohler of Kilgore; two sons Lewis and Henry of Kilgore; two brothers, Peter of Massillon and Harley of Toledo; one sister, Mrs. Minerva McGrat of Toledo, 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Slates was born November 5, 1852. He was married to Annie Elizabeth Burrier on July 1, 1875, she having preceded him in death 16 years ago. Funeral services were held at the Nupp home Saturday afternoon at 1:30 and at the Lutheran Church at 2 o'clock. Rev. Earl Stainbrook, pastor, officiated. Burial was made in Kilgore.
