[edit] Basic InfoFrank Garland Swain was born on November 29 1908 in Whittier California. He was the son of John Garland and Clara Marguerite Heydenreich. He married Margaret Andrea Mortensen in 1932 and had 4 children. He died of lung cancer on March 14 1965 in Whittier.
[edit] LifeHe attended Whittier High School and Whittier College and afterwards became a reporter for the Whitter News in the early 1930s. He met his future wife Margaret Andrea Mortensen by arranging for an interview with her. Durring this time he earned the nickname Scoop. Children: Andrea J John S Margaret A Sara B Durring the 40s he avoided being drafted by being hired by his father-in-law at the Santa Monica Hospital. To be continued...
[edit] HobbiesHe was interested in photography, and developed many wonderfull pictures. He had a dark-room at the Red Barn Ranch where he lived with his family in the 40s. He also enjoyed boating and traveling. Image Gallery
