Particularly interesting to the society world of Los Angeles is news of the marriage of Miss Clara Heydenreich of Pasadena and Mr. John Swain of Whittier solemnized at 7:45 o'clock last evening at the home of the brides parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Heydenreich of Grant Street. Rev. Lamport of the Pasadena M.E. church performed the ceremony in the presents of about fifty guests and music was rendered by an orchestra. The numbers given included the popular marches and "Message of the Violet", played softly during the service. Miss Heydenreich was gowned in white satin, with lace yoke and rose point bertha, and carried white violets and maidenhair ferns. Her going away gown was of grey cloth and her stylish black hat was trimmed with two long white ostrich plums and a wreath of pink roses. Mrs. Jay Harrington of Hollywood, who attended the bride as matron of honor, wore her wedding gown of white crepe de chine and carried maidenhair ferns. Miss Louise Lacey of Los Angeles and Miss Beulah Haskell of Pasadena, who served as maids, wore dainty gowns of violet silk, one of which was trimmed in ribbons and velvet, the shade of the California violet, and the other in white lace. Mr. Saunders of Whittier attended the groom as best man. Decorations for the affair , arranged by Mrs. H.R. Lacey of Los Angeles, were particularly beautiful. In the parlor, where the ceremony took place, the mantle was banked with wood ferns, violets and white marguerites and overhead was a conopy of white gauze interwoven with white satin ribbon and ropes of smilax. Suspended from the center of the canopy, which was caught to the walls with bows of violet satin ribbon, were two hearts untied with a true lover's knot of white tulle. Smilax and marguerites were tastefully arranged in the front parlor and acacia blossoms formed effective decorations for the den. The stair railing in the hall was banked with Calia Llillies and large bunches of the lillies tied with white tulle, concealed the posts. Violets and violet ribbons were used exclusively in the dining room. After April 1, Mr. and Mrs. Swain will occupy their own new home in Whittier. Among the handsome gifts received by couple was a piano, presented by the brides parents and furniture for their home, from the groom's parents, besides many pieces of cut-glass and silver.
