Frank Gerstenslager
Creston - Frank I. Gerstenslager, 94, of Creston, died Saturday, June 5, 1999, in Seville.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Matteson Funeral Home in West Salem, with the Rev. Robert Holmes officiating. Burial will be at Maple Mound Cemetery in Creston.
Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
He was born Feb. 8, 1905 in Wooster to George and Mayme (Sonnedecker) Gerstenschlager and married Mary Russell on June 5, 1926. She died Dec. 5, 1974.
He was owner/operator along with his brother, Harry, of the Gerstenslager Brothers Packing County in Creston for 31 years and was also a farmer from 1954-95.
Survivors include daughters, Lois Matteson of West Salem and Emily Musgrave and her husband, Lowell, of Creston; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, brothers Harry and Robert Gerstenslager and Stanley Gerstenschlager, died previously.
