From the January 15, 1959, edition of the LeMars (IA) Globe-Post Frank Buhlman Frank Joseph Buhlman, 66, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, in Waterloo, Ia., at the Scholtz Memorial Hospital, where he had been hospitalized for eleven weeks. His death was due to cerebral thrombosis. He was born June 2, 1892, at Neptune, Iowa, and moved to Merrill with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Buhlman, in the late 90s. On April 24, 1920, he was united in marriage to Bertha Baltz at Castalia, Iowa. One son was born to this union. He served in the army during the first world war. He was employed by the John Deere Plow Company for 23 years and had retired about a year ago. He is survived by his wife and one son, Frank Charles Buhlman and one grandson and one granddaughter, all of Waterloo, three sisters, Mrs. W.T. Summerhayes of Waterloo, Mrs. Anna Anderson of River Sioux, Iowa, and Marie Jahn of LeMars. One brother, Joseph Strub of Merrill. Burial was under the arrangement of the Waterloo Chapel of Memories and funeral services were held at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, interment in the Garden of Memories cemetery at Waterloo Relatives and friends who attended the service from this locality were Mrs. Ralph Anderson of River Sioux, Iowa, Mrs. Joe Strub and Eugene Sturg of Merrill, Marie Jahn of LeMars and Donald Strub of Ruthven, Chas., Kate and Lee Hodapp of Merrill. |
