On 1757 census at Oxford, MA, age around 40 years (sic); on 1763 MA census. !EDUCATION: He could sign his name, as on his daughter Marie's baptismal record at Grand Pré in 1739 (SGA-3, 1b), and her burial record in 1744 (SGA-3, 27a). !BIRTH-MARRIAGE-CHILDREN-RESIDENCES-BURIAL: Bona Arsenault, HISTOIRE ET GENEALOGIE DES ACADIENS; 1625-1810; Ottawa, Editions Lemeac, 1978, 6 vols.; p. 1228 (Grand Pré); own copy. Born 1714, he married around 1738 to Isabelle DUGAS, "doubtless" the daughter of Joseph & Marguerite RICHARD [sic]; eleven children. He lived at Saint-Charles-des-Mines [Grand Pré, Acadia]. In 1752 he was at Ile Saint-Jean. Deported to Boston, he settled at Saint-Jacques-de-l'Achigan, where he was buried on 20 Aug 1790. References
