Per his father's will, Francis is given "the land I purchased of Col. Mason."

A 1799 Deed Recorded DB Z: pgs 538 & 539, Prince William Circuit Court Archives from Francis Jackson, son of Frances and Sarah Ridley, has the following proving paragraph. Francis is selling property to Margaret Evins (Evans) and Stafford Mathews which he inherited through his mother: "being part of tract of land granted to William Ridley by the Proprietor of the Northern Neck and bequeathed by said Ridley in the year 1751 to his two daughters and their heirs Elizabeth and Sarah Ridley who intermarried with Charles Cornwell and Frances Jackson, that is to say Elizabeth to Cornwell and Sarah to Jackson which said land was divided between said Cornwell and Jackson at their request by the County Surveyor in the year 1770; the said Francis Jackson and Sarah his wife being both dead, their said parts now lawfully belonging to their son, Francis Jackson . . ."
