    MRS. FRANCES GEBHARD DIES IN HOSPITAL AT 62, ILL TWO WEEKS

    Mrs. Frances Gebhard, 62, widow of John Gebhard, died in Perry County Memorial Hospital at 8:30 p.m. Thursday, June 19. She had been ill two weeks prior to her passing. She was at the home of her son Oscar for a week, and then taken to the hospital Sunday night of last week. She had a heart ailment, and then pneumonia set in and it was a combination of the two that caused her death. Mrs. Gebhard was born at Huffman Mills, Dec. 15, 1889, the daughter of Franklin and Bertha Jackman McKim. She lived her entire life near Huffman and in Tell City. She was a member of the Church of Christ, a good woman who lived a life close to the teachings of her chosen religion. She was married September 28, 1916, in Cannelton to John Gebhard. Four children were born to them. Mr. Gebhard preceded his wife in death January 18, 1946. Surviving are two sons, Oscar and Chester Gebhard, Tell City; two daughters Mrs. Selma Roll, Kansas City, MO, and Mrs. Alma Gauf, Chicago; three grandchildren; two sisters Mrs. Lizzie Smith, Chicago; Mrs. Alta Epple near Tell City; and one brother Delbert McKim, Redwood City, CA. The body was at Finch Funeral Home until noon Sunday when it was removed to the Tell City Church of Christ. Funeral Services were held there at 2 p.m. with the Rev. E.C. Ringer, church pastor officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
