    Frances Hudgens was born in 1702 in Henrico County, Virginia. Her parents' names are unknown.
    She married Jonas Meador, and one of their sons was Joel Meador, born in 1729 in Cumberland County, Virginia.
    She died on October 17, 1774, in Cumberland County, Virginia, and is presumed buried there, although I do not know the name of the cemetery.

    Joel Meador was living i Bedford County, Virginia when he inherited 430 acres of land in Cumberland County from his father under the laws of primogeniture.
    In Nov 1768 Joel sold 230 acres on Muddy Creek to his mother Frances, who was living on the other 200 acres that had been left to Jesse with a life interest for Frances in Jonas' will. (Joel sold this 200 acres to Jesse in Aug 1769.)
    on 25 Dec 1770 Frances sold the 230 acres on Muddy Creek to James Hudgens for one-half the cost she paid Joel.
