Florance Micho died as a result of a switching accident when he fainted and fell in front of a train of logs for the Union Cooperage Company of Tawas City. He was run over by five cars of the train and died instantly.

He had been employed as a brakeman for some time, but he was subject to spells of this kind and on several previous occasions had barely escaped death. Realizing the hazards of one so afflicted he had concluded to quit the work and in a day or two would have terminated his work in this capacity.
