ROM THE FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP HISTORICAL SOCIETY SCRAPBOOK COLLECTION - FLORA BROCK DIES; WAS OWNER, OPERATOR OF TWO CAFETERIAS - Flora M Laughner Brock, 89, owner and operaton of two Laughner's Cafeterias, died Wednesday in Community Hosptial. She opened the Laughner's Cafeteria at 5115 East 10th Street in 1940 and ten years later opened an establishment at Belmont and Morris Streets. She retired in 1961. She was a member of the board of directors of Laughner Brothers, Inc. Mrs Brock and her first husband, the late Claude Laughner, owned and operated concessions at Riverside Park, the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race and Coffin Golf Course Shelterhouse. They also had operated several restaurants in the downtown area. A lifelong Indianapolis resident, Mrs Brock was a member of First Lutheran Church, Virgil Grissom Travel and Study Club and Order of the Eastern Star, Brookside Chapter. She was the widow of Ernest Brock. Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday in Shirley Brothers East Chapel, where friends may call after 2 PM Friday.
